Gardens are a vital component of a vibranthealthy and sustainable community. They are an important recreational amenity and a place for intergenerational sharing and education for the community about fresh local food production and the wonders of our beautiful natural environment. They also help generate many positive outcomes on multiple determinants of health such as:

  • food security;
  • reduced isolation;
  • skill building;
  • physical activity;
  • improved mental health.
