Responsibilities
- Design and deliver nutrition consultation services, as well as develop tailored programs for individuals and groups, in accordance with professional standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care in consultation with patients and their families.
- Participate in the creation, delivery, and evaluation of education and health promotion programs in the four communities served.
- Establish partnerships with local organizations to promote healthy eating and maximize the use of community resources.
- Stay up to date with research and best practices in nutrition to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences.
- Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario or a student expected to obtain this status in the spring or summer of 2025.
- In-depth knowledge of practical experience in health promotion, education, and program evaluation.
- Experience in primary health care or a related field is an asset.
- Understanding of the specific realities and needs of rural communities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is required.
- Strong computer skills, including communication and data management tools.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied schedules.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Criminal record check required prior to hiring.
