Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver nutrition consultation services, as well as develop tailored programs for individuals and groups, in accordance with professional standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care in consultation with patients and their families.
  • Participate in the creation, delivery, and evaluation of education and health promotion programs in the four communities served.
  • Establish partnerships with local organizations to promote healthy eating and maximize the use of community resources.
  • Stay up to date with research and best practices in nutrition to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences.
  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario or a student expected to obtain this status in the spring or summer of 2025.
  • In-depth knowledge of practical experience in health promotion, education, and program evaluation.
  • Experience in primary health care or a related field is an asset.
  • Understanding of the specific realities and needs of rural communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including communication and data management tools.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Criminal record check required prior to hiring.
