Mindfulness

Practicing mindfulness helps us meet life’s challenges with gentleness and clarity. We offer a 13 week program with the assistance of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) as well as drop-in maintenance classes for advanced participants.

Alumni of the Mindfulness Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM) courses have reported these results:

  • Greater acceptance of change
  • More productive
  • Found their place in life
  • Less reactive
  • More mindful
  • Less negative
  • Finding time for themselves
  • More self-acceptance
  • Less judgmental

*Particularly difficult feelings may come up during these sessions, and participants need to seek counselling help through their family physician, other primary care providers or existing therapist if this should arise.
