Telemedicine

The Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) offers all Ontario residents access to telemedicine consultations with a medical specialist while remaining close to home. Your appointment with the physician resembles a regular doctor’s appointment but the physician you are consulting with will appear on a television screen. Ontario Telemedicine Network services are free to all Ontario residents and put you in contact with the right health care provider at the right time and at the right place. Virtual care maximizes the opportunity to keep individuals healthy at home, minimizes the stress when health care delivery is not coordinated and, ultimately, reduces pressure on hospitals.

If you reside in Sudbury East and your primary care physician is with the City of Lakes Family Health Team in Sudbury, you may be able to see your family physician at Univi Health Centre. Contact your primary care provider for more information.
