The Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) offers all Ontario residents access to telemedicine consultations with a medical specialist while remaining very close to their home or cottage using secure, state of the art videoconferencing equipment. Your appointment with the physician resembles a regular doctor’s appointment but the physician you are consulting with will appear on a television screen. Ontario Telemedicine Network services are free to all Ontario residents and put you in contact with the right health care provider at the right time and at the right place. All four sites of Univi Health Centre in Noelville, St.-Charles, Alban and Warren are equipped with telemedicine videoconferencing equipment and medical peripherals.
If you reside in Sudbury East and your primary care physician is with the City of Lakes Family Health Team in Sudbury, you may be able to see your family physician at the Univi Health Centre. Contact your primary care provider for more information.
If you suffer from chronic physical or emotional pain, ask your health care provider if you could benefit from Mindfulness Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM) with Annie Hebert through the OTN services.
Otn also offers a professional development service by web broadcasts and The Ontario Geriatrics Learning Centre.
