Client Rights

As partners in the management of their own well-being, Univi Health Centre clients are entitled to:

  • receive interdisciplinary health services that are comprehensive, adequate and continuous, within the limits of available resources;
  • have access to the range of programs and services offered by Univi Health Centre;
  • be treated with courtesy, fairness, justice, understanding and respect for their dignity and needs;
  • confidentiality and the protection of their personal information;
  • a clear statement of Univi Health Centre expectations towards them;
  • the information allowing them to participate in developing a plan of care and making decisions about their health based on their capabilities for personal growth and self-determination;
  • have access to their file, according to Univi Health Centre policies;
  • be informed of the policies and procedures relating to the provision of services;
  • be informed of the complaints procedure;
  • be accompanied by a person of their choice.
Client Responsibilities

The client must:

  • treat staff, volunteers and other Univi Health Centre clients with courtesy and respect;
  • provide necessary information and documents and notify Univi Health Centre of all relevant changes.
