Circle of Growth Learning Series

“Sometimes it’s reassuring to meet people who are going through similar experiences,” says Madeleine Sauvé, Registered Social Service Worker at Univi Health Centre. It is this simple truth that inspired the creation of the Circle of Growth Learning Series, a new initiative for residents of the Sudbury-East area, including the municipalities of Markstay-Warren, St. Charles and French River.

Madeleine supports individuals and families across the region as they navigate life’s more difficult moments. Through her work, she regularly assists residents coping with grief, anxiety and depression, always with a focus on promoting self-care and overall well-being. “Through this learning series, I hope to empower people to live full and healthy lives,” she explains, as she prepares to host a variety of information sessions and learning events in both English and French.

Madeleine is especially hoping to reach caregivers through this initiative. When individuals are focused on caring for loved ones, their own well-being and mental health are often put on the back burner. The Circle of Growth Learning Series offers a space for connection, reflection and practical strategies to support those who so often support others.
