Increased Access to Care: Warren and St. Charles Sites Expanding to Five Days a Week

April 2, 2026

Good news for residents of Sudbury-East! Beginning May 1, 2026, the Warren and St. Charles sites of Univi Health Centre will be open five days a week, Monday through Friday. Until now, both clinic sites operated four days a week, from Monday to Thursday. Starting in May, patients will also be able to access certain services on Fridays.

For many residents, that extra day can make a real difference. Health care schedules and real life don’t always cooperate with one another. Appointments, work schedules, school commitments, and transportation can sometimes make it difficult to find a convenient time to see a provider. Adding Fridays helps create more flexibility for patients and families in the region.

This change reflects Univi’s continued efforts to improve access to primary care across the Sudbury-East communities. In recent years, increased funding has allowed Univi to expand its team and services to better meet the needs of residents. Opening the Warren and St-Charles sites five days a week is another step in that direction, allowing more patients to be seen and helping reduce delays in accessing care.

“Patients will now have more opportunities to book appointments with certain members of the Univi team”, says Erin Ethelson, Clinical Lead at the Warren site.

Michael Barnett, Clinical Lead in St. Charles explains that “while the change may seem simple, just one extra day per week, its impact can be meaningful. In health care, access often determines outcomes. A small adjustment in availability can mean quicker appointments, less travel pressure, and better continuity of care for patients”.

Residents who would like to learn more about the new Friday hours or schedule an appointment can contact the Univi Health Centre site closest to them.
